What is Ambush Marketing?
Ambush marketing is when a company uses an event sponsored by a company to promote itself free of charge.
The ambush starts by identifying opportunities to capitalise on – such as major sporting events.
A softer side of the ambush is to get your staff wearing your corporate clothing at competitors’ events. The competitor or main sponsor has paid to promote their company, but instead, you are promoting yours.
There are many less litigious options available with which to communicate with your clients, customers and members!
