Password Protect Your Blog

Can I password protect my blog?

Yes. You can password protect your blog so only those who know the password can read it. The way you set this up will vary according to which blog publisher you are using.

Blogger – http://www.blogger.com/

  • Log in to your account
  • Customise
  • Settings
  • Permissions
  • Only People I Choose [then enter in the email address of those people that you want to invite to view the blog]

You can also choose whether you want your blog listing to appear in blogger.com:

  • Settings
  • Basic
  • Add your blog to our listing Yes/No?

TypePad – http://www.typepad.com/

  • Log in to your account
  • Control panel
  • Password protection setup
  • Choose “I would like to password protect my entire site”
  • Check the Protected? Box
  • Save changes

If you do not use Blogger or TypePad the answer can most likely be found in the help section of your blog publisher’s website.
