We recently posted a question on LinkedIn that Google found within 24 hours! We asked what mindmapping software people would recommend and 10 people responded within 48 hours.

6 suggested Freemind and other mind map software suggested were Mindjet, novamind, OmniGraffle and The Brain.

Comments about Freemind included

• It’s free and written in Java
• It has radically improved over the years
• Mind maps look great
• The presentation mode and project management support is very powerful
